A container capturing the absence of all illusions – “Pot of Nectar”

Supporting Scripture: Prasnopaniṣad (3.10):

maraṇakāle—yacchittastenaiva prāṇamāyāti prāṇatejasā yuktaḥ sahātmanā yathāsaṅkalpitaṃ lokaṃ nayati.

“Your mind determines what you will experience at the time of death, and according to the prana’s union with the true self, through the power of that last thought, will take you to the experience you have created, carries the soul to the world envisioned.”

The passage clearly affirms that the inner disposition and Samskaric tendencies shape both the journey after death and the quality of life while living. The scripture also emphasizes that the things we do and how they occur in our lives affect the experiences we have both here on Earth and beyond.

Sri Atmanandanatha Guruji

Essence:

The Amṛita Kalasha is a container filled with emotionally satisfying feelings that give the practitioner the ability to live in a joyous and clear manner based on the status of the action/reaction as it affects their reality here on Earth, owing to the ‘fruit’ of the actions of the past Karma of the practitioner (Prarabdha).

Purpose:

The purpose of this discipline is to accept all actions of yesterday (Karma) as completely beyond control and unavoidable, while changing how the practitioner processes the experience through forgiveness.

When introspective practice transforms into Sadhana: Antara Manthana (inner churning):

A Sadhana begins with a review of every aspect of experience. This assessment of every aspect of one’s experiences is called Antara Manthana (inner stirring). The experience of one’s experiences can be classified as follows:

  • All life experiences pertain to the experience of suffering from the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual (trinity) body.
  • Prarabdha (responsibility) for one’s actions, thoughts, emotions and relationships with others.
  • With conscious awareness, ‘we can erase’ our conditioning from the past and from the present through conscious attention. Through mindful awareness, we can erase our Vasanas (the negative thoughts and behaviors caused by our previous conditioning). The technique of this has nothing to do with being passive in the way we endure through experiences, but rather is a form of ‘inner alchemy’ where continuous, conscious awareness is maintained throughout the experience.

Personal transformation:

The Suffering (pain, frustration, and other obstacles) created by one’s actions and choices.

There exists a point of transition when Prarabdha Karma is fully comprehended. This transition occurs when individuals start living according to Karmic laws instead of being affected by the experiences they have as a result of Karma, and when the individual comes to know how important Karma is and how one is connected to Karma.

Before the experience of “becoming conscious” or “opening up”, the following characterizes every experience:

  • “Suffering” (pain) – viewed as “injustice”.
  • “Obstacles” (road blocks) are viewed as “punishment” or “failing to achieve”.
  • “Mind” – Reacting to, disapproving of, or becoming overwhelmed by experiences.
  • “New Karma” is created as a result of feelings of suffering or frustration regarding the previously mentioned experiences.

As the experience of “Turning on” or awakening unfolds:

  • Pain – Pain is viewed as the consequence of the choices we make.
  • In relation to roadblocks, instead of denying the existence of obstacles, roadblocks are viewed as part of the experience.
  • Experiences do not have to be considered as being owned by or part of “us” (e.g., we do not have to “label” ourselves as such). They are simply a manifestation of what is happening (the circumstances) to us.
  • Through those experiences, we acknowledge what has caused us to be in this state and continue experiencing grief and suffering (as a result) due to the experiences that we have created for ourselves through our actions.

Whereas the relationship has changed from “I am suffering from pain” to “pain is a part of the Karmic Cycle”. Through Amrita Kalasha, we now have the potential for developing and realising our strength of will.

Impact of Amrita Kalasha:

  • Strength of Will: For us to develop our own internal strength of will in order to face our adversity without being overwhelmed by it.
  • Clarity: Amrita Kalasha provides us with a greater sense of who we are and helps to clarify what has been confusing in our minds.
  • Zest for life: Amrita Kalasha allows us the opportunity to live life to its fullest in a more harmonious and peaceful manner while experiencing the Prarabhdha Karma that continues to unfold around us.
  • Freedom: Amrita Kalasha allows us to take the experience of the Karmic Cycle and turn it into a path of purification and not entrapment.

Our goal is to bring Amrita Kalasha into existence and adapt it to individual needs.
