This post introduces the Pooja and Homa rituals that will be held at Srividya Mahasansthan during Sri Krodhi Nama Samvatsara Sharannavaratri.
Sri Atmanandanatha, a disciple of Vidya Marthanda Sri Paranandanathar from Sri Guhanandanatha Parampara, was inspired by his Parameshthi guru Sri Chidananadanthar to establish Srividya Mahasansthan in Haragadde village, near Bangalore.
Sri Chidanandanatha wanted Srividya to be open to everyone interested. Sri Atmanandanatha’s first step was to create the Sansthan and install an 18-inch Sri Chakra Mahameru.
This marks the first Sharannavaratri since the Sansthan’s establishment. An Abhishekam with Shodasha Sankhya Srisukta will be performed for Sri Chakra Mahameru, Sri Rajarajeshwari Amma, Sri Rajamatangi Amma, and Sri Mahavarahi Amma every day from Padyami to Dashami, along with the recitation of Sri Lalita Sahasranam and Sri Durga Sahasranam performig kunkumarchana.
From October 3rd to 12th, various Homas will take place daily, featuring specific offerings to deities such as Sri Bala Tripurasundari, Sri Annapurneswari, Sri Ashwarudha, and several others.
In the next posts details of Homa’s deities, offerings, and benefits will be explained.
Sri Atmanandanatha encourages devotees to join in all these Sharannavaratri celebrations to receive the blessings of Sri Matha either in person or by their contribution to these rituals
