O, Mother!!! I adore and meditate on pair of swans who delight in the honey of the full-blown lotus of knowledge. That lotus of knowledge is Anahata chakra. These swans swim in the minds of great souls. Shiva shakti delights in the Anahata chakra. While they are swimming in the minds of great souls, they are not keeping quiet. They are in mutual conversation. In that mutual conversation, eighteen rays have emerged. Swans are known to separate milk from water. They separate good from evil. This is the summary of verse 38. It is the poetic expression of the descent of a couple ( shiva and shakti) to Anahata chakra from Vishudhi. Hamsa symbolizes pure white, which is purity. Shiva tattva and shakti tattva would be spinning in the minds of great sadhakas. They are full of discriminating and purity. Hamsa is also a symbol of yogis, not just yogi’s but adept yogi. Hence they are called Paramahamsa’s. These great souls are capable of extracting sat from asat. Sat is one that shall not change with time and space. It remains the same and that is Shiva. Time and space cannot change Asat. Sat chith Ananda where Sat is that. Kimapi charanam manasacharam”. They realize the existence of a couple spinning in their hearts and minds, One should become Paramahamsa to realize this. Conversely, one who realizes the spinning of universal consciousness and energy is Paramahamsa. All of us are capable of experiencing this with little effort. That conversation is on the supreme knowledge. The Supreme knowledge is nothing but Bramhagyana. The sadhaka realizes them in heart and soul and be able to grasp them through their inner eyes and inner ears. The Vedas are called apourushaya, it was spoken by them. They could listen to their discourse. All tantra Shastras begin with the Shakti in some form which we hear often during vrathas, stotras os Sahasranamas ” Uma Maheshwara samvade, Shiva Parvathi samvade. Whatever conversations that the great souls heard were given to us. The pair of hamsas dwells in the hearts of all beings, these hamsas swim. The hamsa is pragna and Shakti. They dwell in our hearts. We are unaware of the inner phenomena. The traditional viewpoint of Gyana is knowledge. Gyana is not just knowing it is the experience of the knowledge. Is it the knowledge of Atman? No. We need to experience the Bramhan. By awakening the inner ear the sadhaka can listen to the dialogue also. We do not take it seriously. Unless we come out of logical thinking we cannot listen to the inner ear. The Anahata chakra is surrounded by 54 rays of Vayu, bright powerful rays in Anahata. The moment an infant is born, the Shiva shakti initiate the being with Hamsa Soham and forever resounds in one’s breath. This Ham represents Purusha, Sa represents Shakti or Prakriti, the devi herself. Hamsa Soham denotes these two tattvas in mythana and the forms on which they are to be meditated on are Hamseshwara and Hamsashwari on Anahata. When practicing shat chakra dhyana we are not given Hamsa Soham. This mantra Hamsa Soham in the meditation on Anahata is described as a lotus of knowledge in full bloom which is vibrant and pure. his knowledge engages even Shiva and Shakti in parama tattva during their descent. It is an experience of Shankara Bhagavadpadha. In every breath, we feel Anahata chakra.
The shiva Shakti, pragna and the lake in the Anahata chakra which is an experience. What is Shiva Shakti? It is Soham Hamsa. Breath in breath out that is pragna and Shakti, during this time they engage in conversations. These conversations are nothing but thoughts that emerge. The conversation of thoughts might be about variety of topics. There is a mention of Matsyendra natha, a great yogi. He trasformed himself into fish to listen to the conversations of shiva shakti and spoke on tantra shashtra. He could listen to it. Matsyendra natha observed hamsa soham. In that lake swimming, he could imagine the hamsas. This thought imbibed directly the shiva shakti in gyana in our manasa sarovara. Manasa is mind. When they swim it is related to thought. Thought becomes word, word becomes speech. This for the upliftment for mankind. This is called Ajapa Gayatri as long as body is living. In the deep meditation sometimes particularly in Anahata, we hear the sound, vibe. A vibe of heartbeat or inhale and exhale. It is much easier to experience Anahata. With a deep meditation on Anahata with hamsa soham, there are thoughts that come from some where. As it comes the breathing number reduces. That state was attained by Ramana Maharshi. He talks about 18 kalas or rays eminating from Anahata as result of very high level interaction of soham hamsa ( shiva and shakti) at the center of Anahata. That rays are effulgent rays of light, the 16 sun’s which becomes complete 18 joining Shiva and Shakti. it is “Ashtadasha ParinathaH” is used asti which is knowldege is one meaning. The second meaning : Vidya is known as meaning mantra. All the feminine energy, This is the totality of Gyana. That gyana is experience. It is both Transcendental and emperical. This supreme experience is originated and it is her as Sruthi in heighted states of meditation. Vedas are not called Sruthi. Upanishads are Sruthi. And the thoughts later compiled into four vedas. These vedas are from the source of highest knowledge. The highest thought. What is highest thought? It is an experience.Revelation from the source of the highest experience that is none other than experience of SHiva and Shakti. Thought is produced, it is created, the sound frequency eminating from universal consciousness and energy in the form of mantrasby finley tunes. The conciousness of Rishi’s was highly tunes. It the receptivity of the sound was at a high leve, hence by retaining the sound they handed the Vedas to mankind. These were final authority of all matters wheather it is emperical or transcended. Same way tantras were also done in the same way but it was a dialouge between shiva and Shakti. Shakti has different names, the best way to put is like our parents calling us with different names. Our relatives have a different name for us, brothers mught call us with different name. It is same with Devi too. For some she is Parvathi, Uma, Saraswathi, Durga, Bhairavi but her form is the same. It is the dialogue that is experienced by sound. Sound is experienced by the great souls and they reduced to writing or speaking and that is how tantras emerged. The shound of Anahata is heard, the experience the sound is reduced to. Hameshwara and Hamshewari in Anahata is special because without any effort this chakra vibrates everytime we inhake and exhale. Other chakras do vibrate, this vibration is experinced even if we observe chakras. It is very easy to experience Anahata chakra than other chakras.
